Product Overview
The P337 is a wired network camera in Reolink's PoE series. It features an official resolution of 3840x2160 (8MP) @25fps and an f=2.8mm / F2.0 lens. It is designed as a fixed-installation solution where one network cable handles both power and video, so the camera location does not need a separate power socket and will not suffer from dropped frames caused by wireless interference.
All specifications on this page are taken from the Specifications table on Reolink's official product page, without estimation or conversion. For items not listed officially, such as the housing protection rating of certain models, we will not add details ourselves and will indicate this below.
If you are unsure how many cameras you need or whether you should add an NVR, send us your floor plan or on-site photos before placing an order, and we will make recommendations based on the actual environment.

8MP Image Quality and Lens
The P337 has an official resolution of 3840x2160 (8MP) @25fps, with an f=2.8mm / F2.0 lens.
The field of view is Horizontal 105° / Vertical 56° / Diagonal 125°. This is a wide-angle lens: with the same lens, a narrower field of view provides clearer distant details but covers a smaller area at once; a wider field of view covers more area, at the cost of greater edge distortion and less detail in the distance.
In practice, measure the distance from the installation point to the target first, then decide whether to install the camera higher or lower. With the same lens installed at 2.8 metres versus 3.5 metres, the actual ground coverage can differ significantly.
Infrared Night Vision and Colour Night Vision
The P337's infrared night vision reaches up to 30 metres (100ft); it uses 2 infrared LEDs / 2W / 850nm.
Colour night vision: supported, with 2 spotlights / 3W / 3000K (adjustable). Infrared footage is black and white, offering discreet operation without startling passers-by; colour night vision uses spotlights for supplementary lighting and can preserve colour information such as clothing and vehicle colours when needed, which is practically useful for post-event identification.
During installation, avoid pointing the lens directly at a white wall or metal awning. Otherwise, reflected infrared light may overexpose the centre of the image while making the surroundings harder to see. If this cannot be avoided, tilting the camera downward by 10 to 15 degrees usually provides a noticeable improvement.
Smart Detection and Notifications
The P337 supports person, vehicle, animal and motion detection. Detection is performed on the camera, and notifications are pushed only when the specified target types are detected. This filters out common false alarms from traditional motion detection, such as rain, moving tree shadows and changing lights.
Notifications can be enabled or disabled individually. If you want to receive person alerts but do not want to be woken by cats or dogs at night, simply turn off animal detection notifications; recording will continue as normal. Settings can be adjusted for each camera in the Reolink App.
When recording with a microSD card or NVR, you can tap the notification to go directly to the relevant clip without manually dragging the timeline.
PoE Power and Network Connection
P337 power specifications: IEEE 802.3af, 48V Active. One network cable provides both power and video transmission, so no separate power cable or socket is needed at the camera location. This is the cleanest solution for locations such as exterior walls, ceilings and village-house rooftops where there is a network connection but no power outlet.
The network interface is 1× 10M/100Mbps RJ45. Power can be supplied by a PoE-enabled Reolink NVR or a standalone PoE Switch (which must comply with the standards listed above).
The practical advantage of a wired connection is stable bandwidth: wireless cameras may experience dropped frames or delays when multiple people watch live video simultaneously or when there is heavy interference from nearby Wi-Fi, whereas PoE does not.
Storage, Playback and Backup
P337 storage options: microSD up to 512GB; compatible with Reolink NVR.
A microSD solution is suitable for scenarios where only a few days of footage need to be retained, mainly for a single camera. An NVR solution is suitable for multiple cameras, footage retention of several weeks, or reviewing footage from multiple angles at once. Both can be used together: microSD as backup and NVR as the primary storage.
We recommend using a surveillance-grade microSD card (with high write endurance and resistance to high and low temperatures). Standard mobile phone cards are prone to failure after several months of continuous writing, and card failure usually occurs without warning.
App, Two-Way Talk and Remote Viewing
P337 audio: built-in microphone and speaker (supports two-way audio).
In the Reolink App, press and hold the talk button to speak to people on site. This is useful for receiving parcels at the door, reminding customers in a shop, or asking someone to move a vehicle from a parking space.
Remote viewing is available through the Reolink App (iOS/Android). Multiple cameras can be added to the same account, with split-screen viewing supported. You can also create sub-accounts with viewing-only permission, without access to change settings or delete recordings.

Frequently asked questions
What is PoE? What equipment do I need to buy separately?
PoE means “Power over Ethernet”—a single LAN cable delivers both power and video. This model uses the IEEE 802.3af power standard, 48V Active. You need a power source that complies with this standard: a PoE-enabled Reolink NVR or a standalone PoE Switch. The camera itself does not include a power adapter.
What is the biggest difference between the P337 and P330?
According to the official specifications, there is 1 main difference: the lens (f=2.8mm / F2.0 versus f=2.8mm fixed). The two models are similar in all other aspects. When choosing, first consider whether you need “fixed wide-angle coverage” or “adjustable focus for distant targets,” then make your decision based on your power supply budget.
How should I choose? Is there a simple rule of thumb?
Classify by installation distance: if you need to cover an entire wall within 3 meters → choose a fixed wide-angle model (P337/P330); if you need to identify license plates or faces from 5 to 15 meters → choose a model with optical zoom (P430); if you need 360° patrol coverage → choose a PTZ model. These three types should not be compared directly on price, because they solve different problems.
Does it have to be connected with a network cable? Can I use Wi-Fi?
This is a PoE wired model and does not support Wi-Fi. Its advantages are stable connectivity, no dropped frames, and no need to find a power outlet at the camera location; the limitation is that a network cable must be routed to the installation point. If it is genuinely impossible to run a cable to the installation location, choose a Wi-Fi or 4G model from the same series instead.
Is the night vision actually clear?
The official specifications state infrared night vision up to 30 meters (100ft); 2 infrared LEDs / 2W / 850nm; full-color night vision supported, with 2 spotlights / 3W / 3000K (adjustable). Actual clarity depends on the ambient light at the location. In complete darkness, the image will be monochrome infrared. Avoid pointing the camera directly at a white wall or metal surface to reduce reflective overexposure.
How long can the recordings be retained? Is there a monthly fee?
This model supports microSD storage up to 512GB; it can be paired with a Reolink NVR, with no monthly fee required. Retention time depends on the card / hard drive capacity, resolution, and recording mode (continuous or motion-triggered only). For long-term storage, we recommend pairing it with an NVR and using a surveillance-grade hard drive.
Does this camera support two-way talk?
Yes. The official specifications state: “Built-in microphone and speaker (supports two-way audio).” Simply press and hold the talk button in the App to speak to people at the site.
How wide is the camera’s field of view? What type of installation location is it suitable for?
The official field of view is Horizontal 105° / Vertical 56° / Diagonal 125°. This model has a fixed focal length, so please confirm that the coverage is sufficient before purchasing. Before installation, we recommend measuring the distance from the installation point to the target, then determining the mounting height and angle.
Is this Hong Kong official stock? How many years of warranty are included?
This is Hong Kong official stock and includes a local warranty certificate with a 2-year warranty. Non-Hong Kong official stock generally only comes with the seller’s own warranty; repairs must be sent back to the country of origin, with the time and shipping costs borne by the customer.
Overseas parallel imports are a little cheaper. Are they worth buying?
Not recommended. Overseas versions may differ from Hong Kong versions in voltage, plug type, App regional services, and warranty coverage, with no local support if problems arise. We only guarantee Hong Kong official stock; versions shipped from overseas warehouses (Australia, the UK, Germany, Singapore, Canada, the United States, Malaysia, France, Dubai) are not covered by our warranty.
Want to confirm whether this model is suitable for your installation environment?
Send us photos of the installation location or a floor plan. Based on the site conditions, we will recommend the number of cameras, power supply method, and cable length to help you avoid purchasing the wrong specifications.
