180° dual-lens stitching—one camera does the job of two
The Duo 2 PoE combines images from two lenses to create a Horizontal: 180° view. Its official resolution is 4608×1728(8 Megapixels)@20FPS. This design solves a practical problem: a single wide-angle lens cannot cover everything, while two cameras require two cables. With one cable and one mounting position, you can cover an entire exterior wall or a full corridor.
The lens specification is f=3.2mm fixed, F=2.0. The official field of view is Horizontal: 180°. The two image sensors capture their respective areas and then stitch them together, so the center of the image is not stretched as it would be with a single wide-angle lens.
It is important to keep the camera body level during installation—the stitching is performed between the left and right lenses. If the camera body is tilted, the seam will appear in the center of the image; later adjustments can only straighten it, not eliminate it.
The detail density delivered by dual lenses
With the same 8 megapixels, a single wide-angle lens has to spread its pixels across 180°, making distant objects look less detailed. The Duo 2 PoE distributes the load across two image sensors, giving each half a higher pixel density so license plates and faces remain recognizable even near the edges.
The official video compression formats are H.265/H.264. At the same image quality, files are smaller, allowing microSD cards and NVRs to record more hours of footage.
If you previously used a single wide-angle camera and often found that you could “see someone but couldn’t tell who it was,” switching to a dual-lens camera is the most direct way to solve the problem.
Night Vision and Color Night Vision
Official infrared night vision: 30 Meters (6pcs/20mil/850nm) (Auto-switching with IR-cut filter). Color night vision: With Spotlight: 8pcs/5W/6500K/560Lumens.
Infrared images are in black and white, offering discreet operation without startling passers-by. Color night vision uses a spotlight for illumination, preserving color information such as clothing and vehicle colors, which is genuinely useful for identification afterward.
During installation, avoid pointing the lens directly at a white wall or metal eave. Otherwise, reflected infrared light may overexpose the center of the image while making the edges difficult to see. If this cannot be avoided, tilting the camera downward by 10 to 15 degrees usually provides a noticeable improvement.
Smart Detection and Notifications
Duo 2 PoE smart detection: Motion detection/Person detection/Vehicle detection/Animal detection.
Detection is performed on the camera itself. Notifications are pushed only when a target category is identified, filtering out false alarms caused by rain, tree shadows, and changing lighting—common issues with traditional motion detection.
Notifications can be enabled or disabled individually. If you want person alerts but do not want to be woken by cats or dogs at night, simply turn off animal detection notifications; recording will continue as normal.
PoE Power and Network Connectivity
Power supply: IEEE 802.3af, 48V Active. A single network cable provides both power and video transmission, so no power socket is needed at the camera location. This is the cleanest solution for exterior walls, ceilings, and village-house rooftops where a network cable is available but there is no power outlet.
Network interface: One 10M/100Mbps; RJ45. Power can be supplied by a PoE-enabled Reolink NVR or a standalone PoE Switch.
The practical benefit of a wired connection is stable bandwidth. Wireless cameras may drop frames or experience delays when multiple people are watching live streams simultaneously or when there is heavy interference from nearby Wi-Fi networks; PoE does not.
Storage, Playback, and Backup
Storage method: Support Max. 512GB microSD Card.
A microSD solution is suitable for scenarios where you only need to retain a few days of footage and mainly use a single camera. An NVR solution is better for multiple cameras, retention of several weeks, or reviewing footage from multiple angles at once.
A surveillance-grade microSD card is recommended. Ordinary phone-grade cards can easily fail after several months of continuous writing, and failed cards usually give no warning.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the 180° view achieved?
It uses two lenses to capture images separately and then stitches them together. The official field of view is Horizontal: 180°. The advantage is that the pixels are not spread too thin, and the seam remains tight.
Can it use Wi-Fi?
No. This model is a wired PoE model that requires a network cable for power and data transmission. If you cannot run a cable to the installation point, you should choose a WiFi or 4G model instead.
How far can the night vision reach?
Official infrared night vision: 30 Meters (6pcs/20mil/850nm) (Auto-switching with IR-cut filter). Actual performance depends on the ambient light at the site; in complete darkness, the image will be in black and white.
Does recording require a monthly fee?
This model primarily uses local storage (Support Max. 512GB microSD Card) and does not require a monthly fee. The retention period depends on the storage capacity, resolution, and recording mode.
Does it support two-way talk?
Yes. The official audio specification is “Built-in microphone and speaker”.
What type of installation location is this suitable for?
With an official field of view of Horizontal: 180°, it is suitable for covering an entire exterior wall, corridor, or parking entrance. Measure the distance and height before installation.
Is it a Hong Kong genuine product? How long is the warranty?
It is a Hong Kong genuine product and comes with a local warranty certificate, with a 2-year warranty period. Non-Hong Kong genuine products are covered only by the seller’s own warranty, and repairs must be sent back to the country of origin.
Parallel imports from overseas are a little cheaper. Are they worth buying?
Not recommended. Overseas versions may differ in voltage, plug type, App regional services, and warranty coverage. We only guarantee Hong Kong genuine products; products shipped from overseas warehouses (Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, Canada, the United States, Malaysia, France, and Dubai) are not covered by the warranty.
Want to confirm whether this model is suitable for your installation environment?
Send us a photo or floor plan of the installation location, and we will recommend the number of cameras, power supply method, and cable length based on the site conditions.
