Product Overview
The H3c is EZVIZ’s entry-level outdoor Wi-Fi camera: compact in size (72×72×157mm, 330g, with a vertical bullet-style design), featuring 3MP resolution, IP67 protection, 30 m IR, and both Wi-Fi and RJ45 Ethernet connectivity.
The specifications on this page are extracted from EZVIZ’s official H3c 2K product page: CS-H3c-R100-1K3WKFL, 1/2.7" Progressive Scan CMOS, 4mm F2.0 (82° horizontal/98° diagonal), 3MP 2304×1296, up to 30fps, H.265/H.264, up to 30 m IR, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz (11n 144Mbps), RJ45 × 1, microSD up to 512GB, DC 12V/1A, up to 9W, IP67, -30°C~50°C.
One naming point should also be clarified: the official page labels it “H3c 2K”, while our store title says “3MP”. The two figures are equivalent (2304×1296=3MP). This page lists the official specifications accurately.

Six Key Highlights

30fps: The H3c’s Most Practical Advantage
Most entry-level cameras in the same class offer only 15fps, while the H3c is officially rated for up to 30fps. Frame rate affects how smoothly motion appears—at 15fps, a running person will show noticeable ghosting, while 30fps looks much smoother.
For scenes where you need to read a license plate or clearly capture movement, 30fps is more effective than simply increasing the resolution, because ghosting cannot be corrected by resolution.
- Up to 30fps
- Smoother motion footage
- More effective than simply increasing pixel count
3MP and 4mm F2.0
The official specifications are 2304×1296 (3MP), 4mm F2.0, and 82° horizontal/98° diagonal. The 4mm focal length is considered “medium”, making it suitable for monitoring a corridor, a parking space, or a doorway. It is not as wide as 2.8mm, but provides better detail at a distance.
The F2.0 aperture is one stop smaller than F1.6, so it captures slightly less light at night. Combined with 30 m IR, it remains usable in complete darkness, but performs best in areas with street lighting.
- Native 3MP at 2304×1296
- 4mm medium focal length
- F2.0 aperture, slightly weaker than F1.6 at night
Wi-Fi and Ethernet: Both Available
The official specifications provide both Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n、2.4GHz) and an RJ45 Ethernet port. This is an uncommon configuration for an entry-level camera—most products at the same price point only offer Wi-Fi.
Practical advice: use a wired connection if you can run a cable to the installation point; use Wi-Fi if you cannot. Wired connectivity is more stable, avoids concerns about 2.4GHz interference, and helps prevent missing footage due to connection dropouts during long-term recording.
- Wi-Fi and RJ45 both supported
- Choose wired when cabling is possible
- 2.4GHz is more susceptible to interference
IP67 and -30°C: Sufficient for Outdoor Use in Hong Kong
IP67 dust and water resistance, with an operating temperature range of -30°C to 50°C. Exterior wall temperatures in Hong Kong can exceed 40°C in summer, which remains within the operating range. However, avoid direct sunlight on the camera body, as the internal temperature can be higher than the ambient air temperature.
Installation advice: mount it under an eave or on a shaded exterior wall, and avoid direct exposure to the afternoon sun. Prolonged direct sunlight can accelerate housing deterioration and increase sensor thermal noise.
- IP67 dust and water resistance
- Avoid direct sunlight on the camera body
- More durable when installed under the eaves
Power Supply and Power Consumption
Officially rated at DC 12V/1A, with a maximum power consumption of 9W. Based on 24-hour operation, monthly power consumption is approximately 6–7 kWh, so the electricity cost is negligible.
Please note that it does not support PoE — if you want power and data transmission over a single cable, choose H4 PoE instead; the H3c's network cable transmits data only, so a separate 12V power supply is still required.
- DC 12V/1A, maximum 9W
- Does not support PoE
- For PoE, choose H4
Storage and Detection
The official specifications support microSD cards up to 512GB, as well as CloudPlay cloud storage. Detection features include person detection and motion detection, which are basic configurations without vehicle or animal classification.
If you install it in a driveway and want notifications only for vehicles, the H3c cannot do this — you need a model that supports AI vehicle detection, such as H4 PoE or H5 4G.
- microSD up to 512GB
- Person + motion detection
- No vehicle/animal classification

Officially specified as 3MP 2304×1296, with up to 30fps.
Does it support PoE?
No. The official power supply is DC 12V/1A, and the network cable transmits data only. For PoE, choose the H4 PoE.
Can it be used with Wi-Fi only?
Yes. It officially supports 802.11b/g/n and 2.4GHz (11n 144Mbps), so no network cable is required.
How far is the night vision?
The official infrared range is up to 30 meters; the actual face recognition range is approximately 10–15 meters.
Is it waterproof?
It is officially rated IP67. Installation under the eaves is recommended to avoid direct sunlight.
Can I insert a microSD card?
Yes. It officially supports up to 512GB.
Does it detect vehicles?
The official specifications only list human detection and motion detection; vehicle classification is not included. If you need vehicle detection, please choose H4 PoE or H5 4G.
What's the difference between 3MP and 2K?
They're the same thing. 2304×1296 is 3MP, which EZVIZ calls 2K.
