Product Overview
The CB2 is one of EZVIZ’s smallest battery cameras: measuring 50.5×39.1×39.1mm and weighing 87g, it is only slightly larger than a matchbox. Its compact size gives you more installation flexibility — it can be mounted beside a door frame, on top of a cabinet, or on a bookshelf, without necessarily drilling into the wall.
The specifications on this page are extracted from EZVIZ’s official CB2 product page: CS-CB2-R100-2D2WF, 1/2.8" 2MP CMOS, 4mm F1.6, up to 1920×1080, 15fps, H.265/H.264, up to 5m IR night vision, 2000mAh, DC 5V/1A (power adapter sold separately), microSD up to 512GB, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and no wired network support.
It is important to understand what this camera is designed for: with 1080p, 5m IR night vision, and no pan-tilt function, it is intended to “clearly monitor a small area,” not provide wide-area surveillance. If you want to cover an entire parking space or garden, choose the EB/H series instead.

Compact Size: Flexible Installation
At 87g and 50.5×39.1×39.1mm, it is one of the smallest models in its series. In practice, this means you can place it where you do not want to drill holes: beside a door frame, on top of a cabinet, on a bookshelf, or even secure it temporarily with a magnetic mount or double-sided tape.
The trade-off is that it has no pan-tilt function and a fixed viewing angle, so you will need to spend some time adjusting its position. Before installation, use your phone to take a photo from the same position and confirm that the frame covers the area you actually want to monitor.
- Only 87g
- Can be secured without drilling
- Fixed viewing angle; test the position before installation
Practical Coverage of 1080p and 5m IR Night Vision
The official specifications state 1920×1080, 15fps, and up to 5m IR night vision. Five metres is suitable for a doorway, corridor, or small room; beyond 5m, the image will become noticeably darker and grainier at night.
1080p is sufficient during the day to identify clothing and general facial features. For identifying faces at night, keep the distance within 3m and avoid pointing the lens directly at strong light sources or reflective surfaces.
- IR effective range of approximately 5m
- Keep within 3m for face identification at night
- Not suitable for wide-area night surveillance
2000mAh Battery and Usage Patterns
2000mAh is an entry-level capacity. Based on an estimated 10–20 events per day, with each event lasting 10 seconds, it can generally last 3–6 weeks. If the installation area has heavy foot traffic or you frequently use live view, battery life will be noticeably shorter.
If you want to “install it and forget about it,” this camera is not the answer — choose the 5200mAh-or-higher EB3/EB8 series, or add a solar panel.
- 2000mAh
- Heavy foot traffic will noticeably shorten battery life
- For long-term maintenance-free use, choose the EB series
2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Pairing
The official specifications state 802.11b/g/n, 2.4GHz, up to 150Mbps, and a minimum network requirement of 1Mbps; wired network connections are not supported. 2.4GHz offers better wall penetration, making it suitable for placement in different rooms indoors.
If your router only has 5GHz enabled or uses “5GHz preferred” smart switching, the device may not be found during pairing. You will need to enable 2.4GHz on the router and separate the SSIDs first.
- 2.4GHz only
- Wired network not supported
- Before pairing, make sure 2.4GHz is enabled
Storage: 512GB is a lot for 1080p
Officially supports microSD cards up to 512GB. For 1080p event recording, 128GB can already store several months of footage, while 512GB offers "almost no management required" capacity.
Note that battery-powered cameras generally use event recording rather than 24/7 continuous recording — what truly determines how far back you can review is the battery, not the card capacity.
- microSD up to 512GB
- Battery-powered camera uses event recording
- Review duration depends on battery life and the number of events
Practical considerations for the black (BK) version
Our store's unit is black (SKU suffix -BK). A dark-colored body is less noticeable when mounted on a dark door frame or metal gate, but stands out more on a white wall.
If the installation location is easily visible, also consider whether you want people to know there is a camera — clear signage can help deter intruders, while concealment can aid evidence collection. These are different approaches, so decide carefully before choosing the location.
- Black body
- Less noticeable in dark-colored installation locations
- Decide first whether you want deterrence or concealment
