If you mainly shoot people and events, the 35-150mm covers four commonly used focal lengths—35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm—so one lens is usually enough. For capturing wide landscapes or indoor spaces, you will still need a wide-angle lens starting at 24mm.

How much difference is there between F2 and F2.8?

At the wide end, the maximum aperture at 35mm is F2, providing approximately one stop more light than F2.8; at the telephoto end, the 150mm focal length is F2.8. This allows you to use a shutter speed that is one stop faster for indoor and nighttime photography.

What happens when mounted on an APS-C camera?

It can be used on Sony E-mount APS-C bodies, with an equivalent field of view of approximately 52.5-225mm. However, the lens is designed for full-frame cameras, so its size and weight will not be reduced.

Is the autofocus fast enough for photographing children and pets?
