Yes, it is bright enough, but its positioning is for local lighting and ambiance, not a replacement for the main ceiling light in a large living room.

For daily reading and desk work: absolutely bright enough.
It uses a three-in-one design of RGB+CW+WW, and when switched to cool white or warm white, the strong brightness of 1200 lumens is sufficient to illuminate a single sofa chair, bedside, or entire work area, making reading or using a phone easy on the eyes.

Bedroom, small study: can serve as the main light source.
In a small room of about 100 square feet, if this lamp is directed towards the wall to create reflected light (indirect lighting), at maximum brightness, the overall environment's brightness is already very sufficient.
