Six Key Highlights

Dual-Lens Design: Wide-Angle Monitoring + Telephoto Tracking

TrackMix WiFi has two lenses: f=2.8mm@F=1.6 and f=8mm@F=1.6. The wide-angle lens monitors the entire area, while the telephoto lens zooms in to capture details after a target is detected. This is not digital magnification, but a true second optical lens.

The official field of view is Horizontal: 104°-38°, and the zoom specification is 6× Hybrid Zoom.

The practical value of this design is that when an event occurs, you can see both where it happened and what the person or vehicle looks like at the same time. There is no need to digitally enlarge the footage afterwards, and the image will not become blurry due to digital zoom.

Pan-Tilt Movement and Automatic Tracking

Rotation range: Pan: 355°, Tilt: 90°. Preset positions support Supports 1 Guard Point & up to 64 Patrol Points. Rotation speed: horizontal 90/8°-90°/s (Speed Adjustable), vertical 60/8°-60°/s (Speed Adjustable).

Automatic Tracking: YES. Once a target enters the frame, the camera follows its movement and keeps it within the frame; after it leaves the tracking area, the camera returns to its original monitoring position.

In actual use, tracking is suitable for open environments such as car parks, gardens and back alleys. It is less suitable for narrow corridors because the target may move too quickly for the camera to keep up, causing it to end up “tracking the wall.”

Night Vision and Full-Color Mode

Official infrared night vision: Up to 30 Meters (100ft); LED: 2pcs/850nm (Auto-switching with IR-cut filter). Full-color night vision: With Spotlights: 2pcs/4W/6500K.

Infrared footage is black and white, which is discreet and will not startle passers-by. Full-color night vision uses spotlights for illumination, preserving color information such as clothing and vehicle colors, which is practically useful for identification afterwards.

During installation, avoid pointing the lens directly at a white wall or metal awning. Otherwise, reflected infrared light may cause overexposure in the center of the image, while the surrounding areas become difficult to see. If this cannot be avoided, tilting the camera downward by 10 to 15 degrees usually provides a noticeable improvement.

Smart Detection and Notifications

TrackMix WiFi smart detection: Motion detection; Person Detection/Vehicle Detection/Animal Detection.

Detection is performed on the camera itself, and notifications are pushed only when the specified target categories are detected. This filters out false alarms caused by traditional motion detection, such as rain, tree shadows and changing lights.

Notifications can be enabled or disabled individually. If you want to receive person alerts but do not want to be woken up by cats or dogs at night, simply turn off animal detection notifications; recording will continue as usual.

WiFi Connectivity and Installation Flexibility

Wireless standard: IEEE 802.11 ac/ax/a/b/g/n; supported bands: 2.4GHz/5GHz.

The advantage of dual-band WiFi is that 5GHz has less interference and provides smoother live streaming, while 2.4GHz offers better wall penetration and longer range. If the installation point is far from the router, 2.4GHz is more stable; 5GHz can be selected when the camera is in the same space.

The limitation of a wireless camera is its power supply: this model uses DC 12.0V⎓2A, so the installation location still needs access to power. If there is no power at all, a battery-powered or PoE model should be selected instead.

Storage, Playback and Backup

Storage method: Supports Max. 512GB microSD Card.

A microSD solution requires no monthly fee and is suitable for setups centred around a single camera; pairing it with a Reolink NVR allows recordings from multiple cameras to be managed centrally.

We recommend using a surveillance-grade microSD card (durable for continuous writing and resistant to high and low temperatures). Ordinary phone cards are prone to failure after several months of continuous writing, and failed cards usually provide no warning.
