8MP Image Quality and Lens
The P330 is officially rated at 3840x2160 (8MP) @25fps, with a fixed f=2.8mm lens and F=1.6 (IR-cut).
The field of view is 105° horizontal/56° vertical. This is a wide-angle setup: with the same lens, a narrower viewing angle provides more detail at a distance but covers a smaller area, while a wider viewing angle covers more area at the cost of greater edge distortion and less detail at a distance.
In practice, first measure the distance from the installation point to the target, then decide whether to mount the camera higher or lower. The actual ground coverage can vary significantly when the same camera is mounted at 2.8m versus 3.5m.
Infrared Night Vision and Color Night Vision
The P330’s infrared night vision range is 30m (100ft); it has 2 infrared LEDs / 1.8W / 850nm.
Color night vision: supported, with 1 spotlight / 4.3W / 6500K / 700 lumens. Infrared footage is black and white, offering greater discretion without startling passers-by. Color night vision uses the spotlight for illumination and can preserve color information such as clothing and vehicle colors when needed, which is practically useful for identification after an incident.
During installation, avoid pointing the lens directly at a white wall or metal awning, as reflected infrared light may overexpose the center of the image and make the edges difficult to see. If this cannot be avoided, angling the camera downward by 10 to 15 degrees will usually provide a noticeable improvement.
Smart Detection and Notifications
The P330 supports person, vehicle, animal, and motion detection. Detection is processed on the camera, and notifications are only pushed when the selected target types are detected. This filters out common false alarms from traditional motion detection, such as rain, swaying tree shadows, and changing lights.
Notifications can be enabled or disabled individually. If you want to receive person detection notifications but do not want to be woken up by cats or dogs at night, simply turn off animal detection notifications; recording will continue as usual. Settings can be adjusted for each camera in the Reolink App.
When recording with a microSD card or NVR, you can tap the notification directly to view the relevant clip without manually dragging the timeline.
PoE Power and Network Connectivity
P330 power specification: IEEE 802.3af, 48V Active. A single network cable provides both power and video transmission, so no separate power cable or outlet is required at the camera location. This is the cleanest solution for locations such as exterior walls, ceilings, and village-house rooftops where network cabling is available but no power outlet is present.
The network interface is 1× 10M/100Mbps RJ45. Power can be supplied by a PoE-capable Reolink NVR or a standalone PoE Switch (which must comply with the standards listed above).
The practical advantage of a wired connection is stable bandwidth: wireless cameras may experience frame drops and latency when multiple people are watching live video at the same time or when there is heavy interference from nearby Wi-Fi networks, whereas PoE does not.
Storage, Playback and Backup
P330 storage options: microSD up to 512GB; compatible with Reolink NVRs.
The microSD option is suitable for scenarios where only a few days of footage need to be retained and a single camera is the main focus. An NVR is better for multiple cameras, footage retention of several weeks, or reviewing footage from multiple angles at once. Both can be used together: microSD as a backup and the NVR as the primary storage.
We recommend using a surveillance-grade microSD card (with high write endurance and resistance to high and low temperatures). Standard phone cards can easily fail after several months of continuous writing, often without warning.
App, Two-Way Talk and Remote Viewing
P330 audio: built-in microphone and speaker (supports two-way audio).
In the Reolink App, press and hold the talk button to speak to people on site. This is useful for receiving packages at the door, giving customers instructions in a shop, or asking someone to move a vehicle from a parking space.
Use the Reolink App (iOS/Android) for remote viewing. Multiple cameras can be added to the same account, with support for split-screen viewing. You can also create sub-accounts with viewing-only access, without permission to change settings or delete recordings.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is PoE? What equipment do I need to buy separately?
PoE means “Power over Ethernet”: a single LAN cable supplies power and transmits video simultaneously. This model uses the IEEE 802.3af power standard, 48V Active. You need a power source that complies with this standard: a PoE-supported Reolink NVR or a standalone PoE switch. The camera itself does not include a power adapter.
What is the main difference between the P330 and P320?
According to the official specifications, there is 1 main difference: resolution (8 megapixels versus 5 megapixels). The two models are similar in all other aspects. When choosing, first consider whether you need “fixed wide-angle coverage” or “adjustable focus for distant subjects,” then decide based on your power supply budget.
How should I choose? Is there a simple rule of thumb?
Choose based on the installation distance: for covering an entire wall within 3 meters → choose a fixed wide-angle model (P330/P320); for recognizing license plates or faces from 5 to 15 meters → choose a model with optical zoom (P320); for 360° patrol coverage → choose a PTZ model. These three categories should not be compared solely by price because they solve different problems.
Do I have to run a network cable? Can I use Wi-Fi?
This is a PoE wired model and does not support Wi-Fi. Its advantages are stable connectivity, no dropped frames, and no need to find a power source at the camera location; the limitation is that the installation point must be reachable by a network cable. If it is genuinely impossible to run a cable to the installation location, choose a Wi-Fi or 4G model from the same series instead.
How clear is the night vision in actual use?
The official specification states 30 m (100ft) of infrared night vision; 2 infrared LEDs / 1.8W / 850nm; full-color night vision supported, with 1 spotlight / 4.3W / 6500K / 700 lumens. Actual clarity is affected by the ambient lighting. In complete darkness, the image will be black-and-white infrared. Avoid pointing the lens directly at white walls or metal surfaces to reduce reflective overexposure.
How long can the recordings be kept? Is there a monthly fee?
This model supports microSD cards up to 512GB; it can also be paired with a Reolink NVR, with no monthly fee required. Retention time depends on the card/hard drive capacity, resolution, and recording mode (continuous recording or motion-triggered recording only). For long-term storage, we recommend pairing it with an NVR and using a surveillance-grade hard drive.
Does this camera support two-way talk?
Yes. The official specifications list audio as “built-in microphone and speaker (supports two-way audio).” In the App, press and hold the talk button to speak to people at the site.
How wide is the camera’s viewing angle? What type of installation location is it suitable for?
The official field of view is 105° horizontal / 56° vertical. This model has a fixed focal length, so please confirm that the coverage area is sufficient before purchasing. Before installation, we recommend measuring the distance from the installation point to the target area, then determining the mounting height and angle.
Is this Hong Kong authorized stock? How many years of warranty are included?
This is Hong Kong authorized stock and comes with a local warranty certificate and a 2-year warranty. Non-Hong Kong authorized stock generally only comes with the seller’s own warranty; repairs must be shipped back to the country of origin, with the time and shipping costs borne by the customer.
The overseas grey-market version is slightly cheaper. Is it worth buying?
Not recommended. Overseas versions may differ from Hong Kong versions in voltage, plug type, App regional services, and warranty coverage, with no local support if problems arise. We only guarantee Hong Kong authorized stock. Versions shipped from overseas warehouses (Australia, the UK, Germany, Singapore, Canada, the United States, Malaysia, France, and Dubai) are not covered by our warranty.
Want to confirm whether this model is suitable for your installation environment?
Send us a photo or floor plan of the installation location. We will recommend the number of cameras, power supply method, and cable length based on the site conditions to help you avoid purchasing the wrong specifications.
