Product Overview
The HB8 Lite 4G is a lightweight version of the EB8 Pro: the resolution is reduced from 4K to 2K+, and the battery capacity from 10400mAh to 5200mAh, resulting in a lighter body and lower price. It retains dual connectivity via 4G LTE+Wi-Fi 6 and a 340° pan range — in other words, its core "no-cabling required" advantage remains intact.
The specifications on this page are taken from EZVIZ's official specifications page: 2K+ 2560×1440 resolution, 1/3" 4-Megapixel Progressive Scan CMOS, 4mm@F1.6 lens(90° diagonal/75° horizontal/40° vertical), Pan 340°/Tilt 80°, microSD support up to 512GB, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ax(Wi-Fi 6), DC 5V/2A, maximum power consumption 10W, dimensions of 168×100×137.2mm, weight of 660g, and an operating temperature of -20°C to 50°C; the 5200mAh battery and IP65 rating are based on specifications published by the distributor(BASCO).
Two points should be stated clearly. First, the model field on the official page does not list the SKU verbatim, so the SKU in our store listing is subject to the product page. If the markings on your actual device differ from those on the page, please contact us first. Second, 2K+ and 2K are not the same thing — 2K+ is 2560×1440, with approximately 23% more pixels than 2304×1296. This difference is noticeable in the amount of detail retained.

2K+ 2560×1440: Approximately 23% More Pixels Than 2K
The terms "2K" and "2K+" are often used interchangeably in the market, but they are different: 2K is usually 2304×1296, while 2K+ is 2560×1440. The latter has approximately 23% more pixels, delivering clearer details at the same distance.
In practical terms: 2K+ is sufficient for identifying vehicle models on a driveway and visitors' clothing at the entrance. However, identifying faces from 20 meters away is beyond the capabilities of both 2K and 2K+ — 4K is required for that. When choosing a camera, clarifying the "distance" is more practical than simply chasing numbers.
- 2K+ = 2560×1440
- Approximately 23% more pixels than 2K(2304×1296)
- 4K is still required for face identification beyond 20 meters
4G LTE+Wi-Fi 6: No Cabling Required, with Automatic Switching Between Two Connection Types
The official specifications list dual connectivity via Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ax(Wi-Fi 6)and 4G LTE. When Wi-Fi is available, it uses Wi-Fi; otherwise, it switches to 4G — particularly convenient for situations where the camera is first tested indoors and later moved outdoors.
A SIM card is required for 4G and must be provided separately. For this type of battery-powered camera, power consumption is mainly driven by "uploading" and "live streaming", while the data plan depends on upload traffic. Event notifications alone use very little data, but long-term live streaming requires a plan with a larger data allowance.
- Wi-Fi 6+4G LTE Dual Connectivity
- Uses Wi-Fi when available to save data and power
- Power consumption mainly comes from uploading and live streaming
5200mAh Battery: The Trade-Off of the Lightweight Version
The battery capacity is 5200mAh(distributor-published specification), half that of the EB8 Pro's 10400mAh. This directly results in two differences: first, a lighter body(660g); second, the need for more frequent charging or connection to a solar panel.
Practical advice: If the installation location is easy to access and the camera can be removed easily, 5200mAh is fully sufficient. If it is installed on a fence or rooftop where removing it is inconvenient, consider adding a solar panel or choosing the 10400mAh EB8 Pro instead.
- 5200mAh(distributor specification)
- 660g body for greater portability
- A solar panel is recommended for high-position installations
4mm@F1.6 and 1/3" 4MP Sensor
The official lens is 4mm@F1.6, with a 90° diagonal, 75° horizontal, and 40° vertical field of view; the sensor is a 1/3" 4-Megapixel Progressive Scan CMOS. The field of view is a "standard wide angle", suitable for entrances, parking spaces, and corridors.
Compared with the EB8 Pro's F1.2 aperture, F1.6 lets in less light, so nighttime image quality is slightly inferior by one level — this is one of the reasons for the price difference. If your installation location has no light source at night, this should be taken into consideration.
- 4mm@F1.6, 90° diagonal
- 1/3" 4MP sensor
- Slightly weaker nighttime performance than F1.2 models
Pan 340°/Tilt 80° and IP65
Pan 340°, Tilt 80°, covering nearly a full circle; IP65 dustproof and water-spray resistant, suitable for outdoor use. The body measures 168×100×137.2mm and weighs 660g, making it one size smaller than the EB8 Pro (184×102×168mm, 810g).
The meaning of IP65 should be clear: it is resistant to water spray, but is not submersible or resistant to high-pressure water jets. Clean with a damp cloth; do not rinse with a hose. If installed under a tree for an extended period, regularly clean dust from the lens and body.
- Pan 340°/Tilt 80°
- 168×100×137.2mm/660g
- IP65 water-spray resistant, not submersible
microSD 512GB and 10W power consumption
Officially supports microSD cards up to 512GB, with a maximum power consumption of 10W and DC 5V/2A power input. With 2K+ recording, a 512GB card can provide a relatively long storage period; the actual number of days depends on the bitrate and recording mode.
Models in this category are generally intended for “event recording + smartphone notifications.” If you need 24-hour continuous recording, a battery-powered camera is not suitable — you should choose a wired-powered model instead; otherwise, the battery will run out within a day.
- microSD up to 512GB
- DC 5V/2A input, maximum 10W
- Battery-powered camera not suitable for 24-hour continuous recording

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between 2K+ and 2K?
2K+ is 2560×1440, while 2K is usually 2304×1296. The former has approximately 23% more pixels. This device is 2K+, and the official specification page clearly lists 2560×1440.
Do I need to run cables?
No. It is powered by a battery and connects via 4G LTE/Wi-Fi, so the installation location only needs to have a signal.
Do I need to buy my own SIM card for 4G?
Yes, data service is provided by your telecom operator. We recommend choosing a plan with sufficient upload data. Event notifications alone use very little data, while long-term livestreaming requires a large data allowance.
How long will the 5200mAh battery last?
Neither the official nor distributor pages provide a number of days, so we do not estimate it. Actual battery life depends on the number of triggers, livestream duration, and temperature. If the installation location is difficult to access for removal and reinstallation, we recommend adding a solar panel or choosing the 10400mAh EB8 Pro instead.
What is the biggest difference compared with the EB8 Pro 4G?
Resolution (2K+ vs 4K), aperture (F1.6 vs F1.2), battery (5200mAh vs 10400mAh), and weight (660g vs 810g). Both models feature 4G LTE+Wi-Fi 6 and a 340° pan range.
What is the IP rating?
IP65 (distributor-published specifications): dustproof and protected against water jets; do not immerse in water or aim a high-pressure water jet directly at it.
Can I add a solar panel?
The solar panel is an optional accessory. Please confirm the model compatibility with us before placing your order.
What is the warranty coverage?
The warranty terms are subject to those stated on this product page and the distributor’s terms. If you need to confirm the warranty period and coverage, please contact us before placing your order.
