Compared to the previous generation AM05, the AM09 operates more quietly and includes a sleep timer and practical Jet Focus airflow control (which can be set to either focused mode or wide mode).

Dyson AM09 Operating Principle

Air is drawn in from the bottom of the unit, accelerated through a 2.5mm narrow air channel, and transformed into a powerful airflow, guided by streamlined sloping plates. At the same time, surrounding air is also drawn in and amplified. This is the induction and entrainment process.

Feature 1) Bladeless Design

Some traditional fan heaters have high-speed rotating blades and heating elements, requiring a fan cover. In contrast, the Dyson Hot + Cool™ has no blades or exposed heating elements, and it automatically shuts off if the unit is knocked over.

Feature 2) Precise Control

Temperature can be adjusted accurately. Airflow, left-right oscillation, and temperature can all be controlled remotely. The remote control can be placed on top of the unit, held in place by magnets.

Feature 3) No Burning Smell

The temperature of the heating element never exceeds 200 degrees Celsius, which is lower than the combustion point of dust, so there is no need to worry about a burnt smell filling the room.
