4K with 3× Optical Zoom: Clear at Any Distance
4K (3840×2160) combined with 3× optical zoom is the core value of this camera: the wide-angle end captures a 94° panoramic view, while the telephoto end zooms to 50°, enlarging the subject without digital interpolation and preserving image quality.
Compared with the 5MP E1 Outdoor, the difference in recognition performance beyond 15 meters is significant — details such as license plates, faces, and cargo labels have a much better chance of being preserved in 4K.
- 3840×2160 8MP @20fps
- f=2.8-8mm, 3× Optical Zoom
- 94°-50°/53°-30° Field of View
The Practical Benefits of Wi-Fi 6 for an Outdoor Camera
Wireless connectivity supports 802.11 a/ac/ax/b/g/n, including Wi-Fi 6 (ax), dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz, and WPA3 encryption.
4K requires a higher bitrate than 5MP. Wi-Fi 6's upload efficiency and interference resistance make 4K streaming more stable; when using 5GHz within the router's line of sight, image latency is noticeably lower than with older-generation models.
- Supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)
- Dual-Band + WPA3
- More Stable 4K Streaming
355°/50° PTZ and Auto-Tracking
With 355° horizontal and 50° vertical rotation, it supports 1 guard position and up to 64 preset positions, and officially supports auto-tracking. Installation at 2.5-3 meters with the lens angled slightly downward is the standard approach.
Auto-tracking is highly practical outdoors: the camera follows people as they pass and aims the telephoto lens at the target. However, the viewing angle continuously changes during tracking, so for evidence collection, it is recommended to add a separate camera with a fixed viewing angle.
- 355°/50° PTZ
- 64 Preset Positions + Guard Position
- Supports Auto-Tracking
12m Infrared and 4 Spotlights
12m infrared (10 × 850nm LEDs) + 4 × 3.3W 6500K spotlights. 12 meters is sufficient for entrances and parking spaces; for infrared coverage at a 30-meter range, choose the W330 or TrackMix series.
The spotlight on this camera can be used with confidence (as a plug-in model). Simply set it to trigger upon detection to get both full-color footage and a deterrent effect.
- 12m Infrared (10 LEDs)
- 4 × 3.3W Spotlights
- Plug-in model, no worries about battery life
IP65, Weight and Installation
Officially rated IP65 for outdoor use; Φ90×120mm, 458g, operating temperature -10°C to 55°C. Same dimensions and weight as E1 Outdoor, with compatible installation accessories.
For outdoor installation, the most important consideration is waterproofing the power connector: point it downward, add waterproof tape or a waterproof box, and avoid water pooling around the plug.
- IP65 dustproof and water-resistant
- Φ90×120mm/458g
- Point the power connector downward and keep it waterproof
Storage and Actual Usage
Supports up to 512GB microSD, primarily for motion-triggered recording. 4K files are larger, and 512GB provides a more practical retention time; a high-endurance surveillance-grade card is recommended.
If you need 24/7 continuous recording or centralized management of multiple cameras, we recommend switching to a PoE model with an NVR — continuous 4K recording over Wi-Fi puts significant pressure on both the network and storage.
- Up to 512GB microSD
- 4K files are larger; 512GB is recommended
- PoE+NVR recommended for 24/7 recording

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the main differences between the E1 Outdoor Pro and E1 Outdoor?
Resolution and Wi-Fi. The Pro features 4K 8MP, 1/2.8", and Wi-Fi 6 support; the E1 Outdoor features 5MP, 1/2.7", and 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n. Both offer 3× optical zoom, 355°/50°, IP65, 458g, 12m infrared, and 4 spotlights.
Can 4K with 3× optical zoom capture license plates clearly?
At 15-20 meters under normal lighting conditions, the telephoto end may be able to read license plates; actual performance depends on the angle and lighting. If license plate capture is essential, moving the installation point closer is always more effective than changing the camera.
Is Wi-Fi 6 worth paying extra for?
Yes, especially for 4K streaming. Wi-Fi 6 offers better upload efficiency and interference resistance, resulting in more stable video and lower latency; the difference is even more noticeable if your router also supports ax.
Is the 50° vertical range sufficient?
It is mainly suitable for viewing forward and slightly downward, with an installation height of 2.5-3 meters being ideal. To view directly below, the base needs to be adjusted.
Will the spotlights be too bright?
The 4 × 3.3W 6500K spotlights are fairly bright. In densely populated residential areas, we recommend setting them to activate upon detection and adjusting the angle to avoid shining directly into neighboring units.
Can it record continuously 24/7?
Using Wi-Fi for continuous recording is not recommended, as both stability and storage capacity can be concerns. For 24/7 recording, switch to a PoE model paired with an NVR.
What is the maximum supported microSD capacity?
The official maximum capacity is 512GB. Since 4K files are larger, we recommend using a 512GB surveillance-grade card.
Can IP65 be used fully exposed outdoors?
It can be used outdoors, but it is not protected against immersion or high-pressure water jets. Keep the power connector facing downward and apply additional waterproofing.
Will auto-tracking affect evidence collection?
Yes, the viewing angle changes during tracking. For stable evidence collection, we recommend disabling tracking or installing a fixed camera position.
Can one camera cover a parking space and an entrance?
It depends on the layout. With a 355° pan-and-tilt function and 3× zoom, one camera can cover them if the parking space and entrance are within a 90° range on the same wall; if they are too far apart, two cameras will be needed.
Want to know whether 4K with 3× optical zoom is sufficient for your location?
Tell us the distance between the installation point and the target (license plate, entrance, or back alley), and we will calculate how large the target will appear at the telephoto end and recommend an installation height.
