Product Overview

Reolink Go PT Ultra is the 4K version of the 4G pan-tilt camera: 8 megapixels, 355° horizontal and 140° vertical coverage, and plug-and-play operation with a 4G SIM card. It combines the need to "see farther and more clearly" with the ability to cover multiple directions from a single point, making it ideal for scenarios where there is only one installation point but the entire area needs to be covered.

Official resolution 3840×2160(8 megapixels)@15fps, 1/2.7" CMOS, with a horizontal field of view of 90°, vertical field of view of 47°, and diagonal field of view of 110° (fixed focal length). The pan-tilt range is 355°/140°, supporting 1 guard position and up to 32 preset positions, with H.265 encoding.

Image Quality, Lens and Field of View

The 3840×2160 4K resolution is paired with a 90° horizontal field of view, packing more pixels into a relatively narrower frame —— this is the advantage of a pan-tilt camera: instead of using an ultra-wide angle to achieve coverage, it covers different areas by changing direction while retaining detail. In practice, facial features and clothing details of people 8-12 meters away can still be identified.

Note that the official specification table does not list the lens focal length; it only states "Fixed Lens, Horizontal: 90°". Therefore, any claim on the market that the "Go PT Ultra has a 4mm focal length" does not come from the official specification table. Based on the official information, we only state the field of view and do not specify a focal length.

  • Field of View: Horizontal 90°/Vertical 47°/Diagonal 110°

4G Connectivity and Network Operation

Built-in 4G LTE, with official frequency-band variants listed for Europe, the Americas, and Australia. Simply insert a SIM card to use it, with no on-site Wi-Fi, network cable, or fixed IP required. It supports up to 12 simultaneous streams and 1 administrator account, with client support for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.

The combination of 4K and pan-tilt requires relatively high bandwidth: the entire image must be retransmitted while the camera is rotating, and if the signal is only one or two bars, the image update will become noticeably slower after rotation. Testing the on-site signal before installation is the five minutes most worth spending with this model.

  • 4G LTE Plug-and-Play SIM
  • Up to 12 Simultaneous Streams

Power, Battery and Solar Power

The battery is officially rated at 21.6Wh, slightly lower than the converted capacity of the Go PT Plus's 6000mAh, while 4K also consumes more power. Therefore, battery life is one of the most important aspects to note with this model. If it can be connected to a Reolink Solar Panel 2, it should be, otherwise high-trigger scenarios will require frequent charging.

Charging is via USB Type-C. If the installation location is high, it is recommended to plan the solar panel and cable routing from the beginning rather than waiting until the battery runs out before climbing a ladder —— this is the most common installation mistake we see on-site.

  • 21.6Wh Rechargeable Battery
  • Compatible with Solar Panel 2

Night Vision, Detection and Alerts

Night vision uses dual infrared and spotlight modes: 2 × 1.2W 850nm infrared LEDs with an effective range of 10 meters; and 2 × 2.4W 6500K spotlights that can provide color images when needed. The spotlights also act as a deterrent when activated, making them suitable for parking spaces and back alleys.

The PIR detection distance can be adjusted to 10 meters, with a 120° horizontal angle. It supports person, vehicle, and animal classification, and allows custom voice alerts to be set. Classified detection is especially important for a pan-tilt camera, because every false alarm may trigger a rotation and recording, causing power consumption to accumulate.

  • 10m Infrared (2 × 850nm)
  • 2 × 6500K Spotlights

Storage, App and Smart Home

Supports up to 128GB microSD and can be used with Reolink Cloud (depending on region). 4K files are larger, so 128GB may only provide enough storage for a few weeks in high-trigger scenarios. Important footage should be downloaded immediately.

The app supports pan-tilt control, preset positions, live viewing, playback, two-way audio, push and email notifications, and is compatible with Google Assistant. Officially supports up to 12 simultaneous streams.

  • microSD max. 128GB
  • Supports Reolink Cloud (depending on region)

Installation, Protection & Maintenance

Officially rated IP64: completely dust-tight and protected against water splashes. Unlike IP65, it cannot withstand direct water jets, so the installation location should have basic shelter, with the ports facing downward and sealed with waterproof tape.

Dimensions: Φ98×122mm; weight: 496g (including battery). Operating temperature: -10°C to 55°C. Compared with the Go PT Plus, the body is slightly taller, and the pan-tilt mechanism likewise requires regular cleaning to remove sand and dust.

  • IP64 Dust and Splash Resistant
  • Φ98×122mm/496g

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the biggest difference between the Go PT Ultra and Go PT Plus?
Resolution and battery. The Go PT Ultra has 3840×2160 8MP resolution and a 21.6Wh battery; the Go PT Plus has 2880×1660 5MP resolution and a 6000mAh battery. Both have a 355°/140° pan-and-tilt range, a 90° field of view, and IP64 water resistance. Choose the Ultra if you want 4K, or the Plus if you want longer battery life.
Why doesn't the specifications table list the lens focal length?
Reolink's official Go PT Ultra specifications table only lists the field of view (90° horizontal, 47° vertical, and 110° diagonal) and does not list the focal length. We do not make our own estimates or copy figures from other websites.
Is the 21.6Wh battery sufficient?
It depends on the trigger frequency. 4K recording and pan-and-tilt operation consume more power. If the camera is triggered dozens of times per day, we strongly recommend pairing it with a solar panel. In low-trigger scenarios, such as when people only pass by at night, the battery alone can last for a period of time.
Can it automatically track people?
Auto Tracking is not listed in the official specifications for the Go PT Ultra. If you need automatic tracking, choose the Altas Go PT, which officially supports it, or a TrackMix series model.
Will a 4K pan-and-tilt camera use a lot of data?
More than a 5MP model. The video needs to be retransmitted when the camera moves, so data usage can accumulate if you frequently pan around manually. We recommend using the substream for everyday monitoring, minimizing manual movement, and operating with preset positions.
Can it be installed outdoors with IP64 protection?
Long-term exposure to direct rain is not recommended. IP64 provides dust protection and splash resistance. For outdoor installation, make sure the ports face downward, add waterproof tape, and inspect them regularly.
Will the spotlights consume a lot of power?
Yes. Keeping two 2.4W spotlights on for extended periods places a heavy load on the battery. We recommend setting them to turn on only when a person is detected rather than staying on continuously, and pairing them with a solar panel.

Want 4K panoramic coverage from a single wall location?

Send us photos of the site and the angles you want to cover. We’ll help you determine whether one Go PT Ultra is sufficient and which direction the solar panel should be installed.
