Product Overview

The Reolink W330 is the 4K model in Reolink’s outdoor fixed-lens camera range: 3840×2160 8MP, a 1/2.7" sensor, and f=4.0mm F1.6. Its infrared night vision reaches 30 meters, and the body is rated IP67. Its design direction is the opposite of Lumus — not wide-angle, but rather a “narrower field of view + longer distance.”

Official resolution is 3840×2160 (8 megapixels) @20fps, with a horizontal field of view of 88.8° and a vertical field of view of 45.2°; 30 m infrared (2 × 2W 850nm), plus 1 × 4.3W 6500K spotlight.

Wireless support includes 802.11 a/ac/ax/b/g/n (including Wi-Fi 6) dual-band connectivity, with WPA/WPA2/WPA3 encryption; storage supports up to 256GB microSD; IP67, Φ67×187mm; supports Google Assistant. The official specification sheet does not list the weight, so we do not provide one.

30 m Infrared: The Biggest Difference

Most entry-level outdoor cameras offer only 10 meters of infrared range, while the W330 reaches 30 meters (2 × 2W 850nm). This means it can see a farther area at night, making it suitable for driveways, farm boundaries, and warehouse perimeters where targets are farther away.

30 meters is the distance for “detecting that there is an object,” not the distance for “clearly identifying a person’s face.” Recognizing details at 30 meters requires a longer focal length; however, as an early warning for “whether someone is approaching,” 30 meters is highly practical.

  • 30 m Infrared (2 × 2W 850nm)
  • 1 × 4.3W 6500K Spotlight
  • Suitable for long-distance early warnings

4K with a Narrower 88.8° Field of View

The 88.8° horizontal field of view is narrower than Lumus’s 107°, resulting in a larger subject at the same distance. 4K combined with a narrower field of view creates a setup that “sees farther and more clearly.”

The trade-off is narrower coverage in a single view: if the installation location needs to monitor two directions simultaneously, you will need two cameras or a pan-and-tilt model.

  • 3840×2160 8MP @20fps
  • Field of View 88.8°/45.2°
  • f=4.0mm F1.6

IP67: The Highest Protection Rating in This Group

The official IP67 rating means complete dust protection and the ability to withstand brief immersion in water (the standard is 30 minutes at a water depth of 1 meter). Long-term immersion is still not recommended in actual use, but it provides more protection against Hong Kong’s heavy rain and strong winds than IP65.

The body measures Φ67×187mm and has a cylindrical bullet-style design. Installation only requires securing it with the base; IP67 does not mean the connectors can be left without waterproofing. The power connector should still face downward and be properly waterproofed.

  • IP67 Dustproof and Water-Immersion Protection (Short-Term)
  • Φ67×187mm
  • Connectors must still face downward and be waterproofed

Wi-Fi 6 and 4K Streaming

Wireless support includes 802.11 a/ac/ax/b/g/n, including Wi-Fi 6, with dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz and WPA3 encryption. 4K has a higher bitrate, while Wi-Fi 6 enables more stable streaming and lower latency.

If the router is farther away, 2.4GHz is generally more stable through walls; in the same space, 5GHz has noticeably lower latency.

  • Supports Wi-Fi 6
  • Dual-Band + WPA3
  • More stable 4K streaming

Features of the single 4.3W spotlight

The spotlight has only 1 LED, but at 4.3W, it is more concentrated than Lumus's 2 × 1.6W LEDs. The benefits are a longer illumination distance and a brighter center; the trade-offs are darker edges and a more noticeable light spot.

In practice, when used with 4K and 30-meter infrared night vision, the spotlight is mainly used to "confirm targets" rather than for long-term illumination.

  • 1 × 4.3W 6500K spotlight
  • Focused illumination with darker edges
  • Recommended for motion-triggered detection

256GB Storage and Suitable Applications

The official specifications state support for up to 256GB microSD cards — half the capacity of Lumus and Elite WiFi's 512GB. This is an important difference to note when making your choice. 4K files are larger, so 256GB provides a shorter recording retention period.

Suitable for: driveways, farmland boundaries, warehouse perimeters, and detached-home backyards where "long-distance alerts" are needed. Not suitable for: continuous 24/7 recording (use PoE+NVR instead).

  • Maximum 256GB microSD
  • Suitable for long-distance alerts
  • Use PoE+NVR for continuous recording

What's in the Box

The following is the packaging content for Hong Kong official stock. Actual accessories may vary by shipment batch; please contact us for confirmation before placing your order if you have any questions.

  • The official product page does not list the contents of the box, power specifications, or weight item by item. The package generally includes the main unit, a power cable, and a mounting base. If you need to confirm the cable length or mounting base design, please contact us before placing your order.
  • Packaging contents are based on Reolink's official shipping configuration. As the official product page does not list the contents of the box item by item, our store does not make assumptions about the quantity of accessories. If you need to confirm a specific accessory before placing your order — such as the bracket, screw kit, or whether a power supply is included — please contact us first.

FAQ

What is the biggest difference between W330 and Lumus?
Resolution, field of view, and infrared range. W330 is 4K 8MP with a narrower 88.8° field of view, 30-meter infrared range, and IP67 rating; Lumus is 4MP with a 107° wide-angle view, 10-meter infrared range, IP65 rating, and weighs 168g. Choose W330 for longer-distance viewing, or Lumus for wider coverage.
What is the biggest difference between W330 and Elite WiFi?
Field of view and number of lenses. Elite WiFi features dual lenses with a 180° ultra-wide-angle view and 512GB storage; W330 has a single lens with an 88.8° field of view, 256GB storage, and a 30-meter infrared range. Choose Elite for viewing an entire area in one shot, or W330 for longer-distance viewing.
How far can you actually see with the 30-meter infrared range?
30 meters is the distance at which objects can be detected, not the distance at which faces can be recognized. It is useful for nighttime alerts; to identify details, move the camera closer or use a telephoto camera.
Does IP67 mean it can be submerged in water?
The official IP67 rating means short-term immersion in water (1 meter for 30 minutes). In practice, prolonged submersion is not recommended. The ports should still face downward and be properly waterproofed.
Why is there only 256GB of storage?
That is the official specification. 4K files are larger, so 256GB provides a shorter recording time than 512GB. We recommend downloading important footage immediately.
Is one spotlight enough?
The single 4.3W spotlight provides concentrated illumination, with a brighter center and darker edges. Combined with the 30-meter infrared range, it is mainly used to confirm targets.
Can it record continuously 24/7?
The official specifications do not list a continuous recording mode. For 24/7 recording, please use a PoE camera with an NVR instead.
How much area can one unit cover?
With an 88.8° field of view, it covers approximately 16 meters in width at a distance of 10 meters. Combined with 4K resolution, details of subjects within 15 meters can still be recognized.
Does it support Alexa?
The official specifications only list Google Assistant. Alexa is not listed, so please confirm before placing an order if required.
What is the weight?
The official specifications do not list the weight (the field is occupied by warranty terms), so we will not estimate it. Please contact us if you need the exact weight.

Want to know whether the 30-meter infrared range is enough to cover your area?

Tell us the installation point and the distance to the farthest target, and we will help determine whether W330 is sufficient or whether you need the 180° dual-lens Elite WiFi.
