Six Key Highlights

Dual-Lens Design: Wide-Angle Monitoring + Telephoto Tracking

TrackMix PoE has two lenses: f=2.8mm@F=1.6 and f=8mm@F=1.6. The wide-angle lens is responsible for monitoring the entire area, while the telephoto lens zooms in to capture details after a target is detected. This is not digital magnification, but a genuine second optical lens.

The official field of view is • Horizontal: 104°-38°, and the zoom specification is 6X hybrid zoom.

The practical value of this design is that when an incident occurs, you simultaneously get two views: "where it happened" and "what the person / vehicle looks like". There is no need to use digital zoom afterwards to guess, and the image will not become blurry due to digital zoom.

Pan-Tilt Movement and Auto-Tracking

Rotation range: Pan: 355°, Tilt: 0°~90°. The preset position function Supports 1 Guard Point & up to 64 Preset Points. Rotation speed: horizontal 2.5°-90°/s (Speed can be set), vertical 1.5°-60°/s (Speed can be set).

Auto-tracking: /. Once a target enters the frame, the camera body moves along with it to keep the target within the frame; after the target leaves the tracking range, it returns to its original monitoring position.

In actual use, tracking is suitable for open environments such as parking spaces, gardens, and back alleys. It is less suitable for narrow corridors, because if the target moves too quickly, the camera may fail to keep up and end up "tracking the wall".

Night Vision and Full-Color Mode

Official infrared night vision: Up to 30 meters (100ft) (LED: 2pcs/850nm). Full-color night vision: Spotlights: 2pcs/6500K/450 lumens.

The infrared image is black and white, which is discreet and will not startle passersby. Full-color night vision uses spotlights for illumination, preserving color information such as clothing and vehicle colors, which is practically helpful for identification afterwards.

During installation, avoid pointing the lens directly at a white wall or metal awning. Otherwise, reflected infrared light may cause overexposure in the center of the image while making the surrounding areas difficult to see. If this cannot be avoided, tilting the camera downward by 10 to 15 degrees usually provides a noticeable improvement.

Smart Detection and Notifications

Detection is completed on the camera, and notifications are pushed only when a target category is identified. This filters out false alarms caused by rain, tree shadows, and changes in lighting that commonly affect traditional motion detection.

Notifications can be enabled or disabled individually: if you want to receive human detection notifications but do not want to be woken up by cats or dogs at night, simply turn off animal detection notifications while recording continues as normal.

PoE Power and Network Connectivity

Power supply: IEEE 802.3af, 48V active. A single network cable provides both power and video transmission, so no power socket is required at the camera location. This is the cleanest solution for locations such as exterior walls, ceilings, and village house rooftops where there is a network cable but no power outlet.

Network interface: One 10M/100Mbps  RJ45. The power source can be a PoE-compatible Reolink NVR or a standalone PoE Switch.

The practical advantage of a wired connection is stable bandwidth: wireless cameras may drop frames or experience delays when multiple people are watching live video simultaneously or when there is heavy interference from nearby Wi-Fi, whereas PoE does not.

Storage, Playback and Backup

Storage method: Micro SD card slot (Max. 512GB).

The microSD solution is suitable for scenarios where only a few days of footage need to be retained and a single camera is used. An NVR solution is suitable for multiple cameras, footage retention of several weeks, or reviewing footage from multiple angles at once.

A surveillance-grade microSD card is recommended. Standard phone-grade cards can easily fail after several months of continuous writing, and card failure usually occurs without warning.
