Product Overview

The H7c Dual is an indoor pan-and-tilt camera with “two lenses operating simultaneously”: the 2.8mm wide-angle lens at the bottom captures the entire room, while the 6mm telephoto lens at the top focuses on the area you want to monitor. Both views are output simultaneously, so there is no need to wait for the camera to pan over — this is the biggest difference compared with a single-lens pan-and-tilt camera.

The specifications on this page are extracted from EZVIZ’s official H7c Dual 2K+ product page: CS-H7c-R100-8G44WF/CS-H7c-R101-8H44WF、1/3" Progressive Scan CMOS、fixed 2.8mm F1.6 lens(diagonal 108°/horizontal 92°/vertical 50°)、pan-and-tilt 6mm F1.6 lens(diagonal 60°/horizontal 51°/vertical 28°)、up to 2560×1440、H.264/H.265、10m infrared、microSD up to 512GB、DC 5V/2A、8W、88×88×131.5mm/270g。

It is ideal for spaces where “one view is not enough”: for example, monitoring the sofa and front door in a living room at the same time, or keeping an eye on both the checkout counter and entrance in a shop. A single-lens camera has to pan back and forth, and often by the time it “turns over there, the person has already left.”

Dual lenses solve the problem of “not turning in time”

A single-lens pan-and-tilt camera works by “detecting first, then turning toward the target.” It usually takes one to two seconds from detection to the pan-and-tilt camera reaching the right position. During this time, the image is a blurry moving view, and the person has often already left the frame.

The H7c Dual’s wide-angle lens always covers the entire room, while the telephoto lens always points at the location you specify. Neither lens needs to move, so two clear views are available at all times. The trade-off is that it does not “track” moving targets — choose a single-lens PTZ model for tracking.

  • Two lenses output simultaneously, with no panning delay
  • Wide-angle lens for full coverage, telephoto lens for a designated area
  • No automatic tracking function

2K+ 2560×1440 and the Roles of the Two Lenses

The official specifications list a maximum of 2560×1440(i.e. EZVIZ’s 2K+), and both lenses offer this specification. The 108° wide-angle lens covers roughly the diagonal range of a standard living room; the 60° telephoto lens is about one-third as wide, effectively bringing the designated area approximately two times closer.

Practical setup recommendation: install the wide-angle lens high in a corner of the room, and point the telephoto lens at the entrance or an area containing valuables. This setup saves one power outlet and one app account compared with “buying two single-lens cameras.”

  • 2560×1440 per lens
  • Approximately 2× telephoto magnification
  • One camera replaces two single-lens cameras

Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax)and Dual-Band

The official specifications list Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, meaning Wi-Fi 6 is supported; 2.4GHz supports 20MHz bandwidth, while 5GHz supports 80MHz. Streaming from two lenses simultaneously requires more bandwidth than a single lens, and Wi-Fi 6 is less likely to become congested in environments where multiple people are online at the same time.

It also features an RJ45 Ethernet port — if you can run a cable, a wired connection is much more stable than Wi-Fi, especially when recording from both lenses simultaneously.

  • Supports Wi-Fi 6 and 5GHz
  • RJ45 wired connection included
  • Wired connection or 5GHz recommended for dual-lens use

Smart Detection: Person, Sound, and Patrol

The Smart Alarm features officially listed include motion detection, human-shape detection, loud-sound detection, and patrol mode detection. “Loud-sound detection” is particularly useful indoors — a senior falling, glass breaking, or a dog barking continuously can all trigger notifications.

Patrol mode allows the pan-and-tilt camera to patrol along a preset route; together with the fixed wide-angle lens, this provides two layers of coverage: “continuous full-room coverage + focused patrol monitoring.”

  • Human-shape detection reduces false alarms
  • Loud-sound detection is ideal for monitoring seniors
  • Supports cruise mode

Storage & Power

Officially supports microSD cards up to 512GB; card not included. You can also subscribe to EZVIZ CloudPlay. Power is supplied via a Type-C port, DC 5V/2A, with a maximum power consumption of 8W. Please confirm before ordering whether the package includes a power adapter.

Simultaneous recording from both cameras generates approximately twice the file volume of a single camera. If you need to retain recordings for more than 30 days, we recommend buying a 256GB or 512GB surveillance-grade card directly instead of using a 64GB card.

  • microSD up to 512GB
  • DC 5V/2A, 8W
  • 256GB or above recommended for dual-camera recording

Installation Location & Privacy

Measuring 88×88×131.5mm and weighing 270g, it is suitable for placement on top of a cabinet or wall mounting. For indoor cameras, privacy is the most commonly overlooked issue: we recommend setting the App to “disable certain cameras when at home” or using the lens privacy shutter, and avoiding pointing the camera directly at bedroom or bathroom entrances.

If there are domestic helpers or visitors in your home, informing them of the installation locations in advance is far better than dealing with disputes later — this is not a technical issue, but it is the source of almost every complaint.

  • Suitable for placement on top of a cabinet or wall mounting
  • Home mode recommended
  • Avoid pointing at bedrooms and bathrooms

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the two lenses record simultaneously?
Yes. The wide-angle and telephoto lenses output video simultaneously. You can switch between them or view them side by side in the App, without waiting for the PTZ to rotate.
Will it automatically track moving people?
The H7c Dual is designed for “dual-lens fixed coverage.” The official Smart Alarm features include human-shape detection, motion detection, loud-sound detection, and patrol detection, but automatic tracking is not listed. If you need tracking, choose a single-lens PTZ model.
Do the two lenses have the same resolution?
Yes. The official maximum resolution is 2560×1440, and both lenses support this specification; the difference is in the focal length (2.8mm wide-angle vs 6mm telephoto).
Does it support 5GHz Wi-Fi?
Yes. The official specifications list 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2.4GHz 20MHz、5GHz 80MHz.
Can it be connected via Ethernet cable?
Yes, the device has an RJ45 (10M/100M) port. A wired connection is more stable than wireless when both lenses are recording simultaneously.
Is the power adapter included?
The official specifications list a Type-C port and DC 5V/2A. Please confirm with us before placing your order whether the power adapter is included in the package.
What microSD card capacity should I buy?
The official maximum supported capacity is 512GB. Dual-lens recordings use approximately twice the storage space of single-lens recordings, so a 256GB or larger surveillance-grade card is recommended.
What is the infrared night vision range?
Officially rated for a maximum distance of 10 meters.
