Introduction

Product Description The Tokina AT-X 12-28mm F4 PRO DX can be regarded as an enhanced version of the 12-24mm, offering a constant F4 aperture and a wider zoom range. Designed specifically for APS-C camera bodies, it provides an equivalent focal length of 18-42mm (1.5x crop factor). The lens features a completely redesigned optical construction. Of its 12 groups and 14 elements, 2 are SD super-low dispersion elements, helping to reduce chromatic aberration and improve image quality. In addition, the new SD-M motor provides faster and quieter autofocus performance. With a minimum focusing distance of just 0.25 meters and a 0.2x magnification ratio at the telephoto end, the lens offers greater practicality.

Q: How should I choose between the Tokina AT-X 12-28mm f/4 AF and other lenses in the same category?
A: This is a TOKINA 12-28mm f/4 lens designed primarily for ultra-wide-angle subjects (landscape／architecture／astrophotography). The comparison table for the same series (above) lists the differences in focal length／aperture／category among the available models from the same brand. Choose according to your primary subjects.

Q: Will a wide-angle lens cause distortion?
A: Perspective distortion at the edges of an ultra-wide-angle lens is an optical characteristic. For architectural subjects, you can use in-camera correction or post-processing to correct it.

Q: Which camera bodies are compatible with the Tokina AT-X 12-28mm f/4 AF? — Can it be used with all camera bodies?
A: This lens uses the — mount. Before purchasing, please confirm that it matches your camera body's mount. If you need to adapt it to another system, please check the adapter compatibility with the store first.

Q: What types of scenes is this lens suitable for?
A: With a 12-28mm focal length and f/4 aperture, it is suitable for expansive scenes such as landscapes, architecture, and astrophotography.

Q: Does it have image stabilization? How steady is it for handheld shooting?
A: Please refer to the official page for the image stabilization specifications (see the “Image Stabilization” column in the specification table; items not yet verified are marked “To be verified”). A wide-aperture lens can be used with a high ISO and shutter priority in low-light conditions to compensate. Telephoto lenses are recommended for use with a tripod or monopod.
