V2 Max is a QMK customized mechanical keyboard that features 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. It has a compact 65% layout and offers a gasket mount design, sound-absorbing foam, and double-shot PBT keycaps, among other features. The V2 Max is designed to provide a personalized experience and enhance typing comfort.
Fully customizable keyboard
To create a fully customizable keyboard, we designed each component to be easy to assemble, allowing you to customize and adjust any or every part in the way you want.
2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connectivity
Experience peak gaming performance with a 2.4 GHz wireless connection and a 1000 Hz rapid polling rate. For seamless multitasking on your computer, phone, and tablet, you can easily connect the V2 Max to three devices via Bluetooth 5.1.
Dual receivers
To achieve a better 2.4 GHz wireless experience, the V2 Max is equipped with Type-C and Type-A receivers. Enjoy fast plug-and-play time. Alternatively, place them in the magnetic storage slot in the upper right corner of the keyboard.
Epic Core Inside the Keyboard
The powerful ARM architecture MCU equipped with 256K Flash will provide developers with greater flexibility. The out-of-the-box polling rate is 1000 Hz, which makes it almost imperceptible even in competitive gaming.
OSA Profile Double-shot PBT Keycaps
The height of these dual-color PBT keycaps is similar to the OEM profile and features a shape akin to SA. We have named them OSA (OEM Spherical Angle) keycaps. PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance typing feel, and prevent legends from fading.
Switch layouts between macOS and Windows
The Keychron V2 Max is designed with the experience of Mac users in mind while still maintaining compatibility with Windows devices. It features a system switch and a set of additional custom keycaps suitable for both Windows and macOS systems. Now you can save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.
Gasket Installation Design
By adopting a washer installation design and PC (polycarbonate) panels, the V2 Max reduces acoustic resonance, providing a softer and quieter typing experience while enhancing flexibility.
Programming with QMK and V2 Max
With complete QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap every key on the keyboard. The open-source firmware means endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, and even knobs.
Run V2 Max keyboard mapping on VIA
Due to the V2 Max's VIA code still awaiting approval from Github, it has not been automatically recognized yet. Please download the corresponding keyboard mapping JSON file below, open VIA, go to the "Settings" tab and enable the "Show Design Tab" option, then drag the JSON file into the "Design" tab in VIA to make the V2 Max keyboard mapping work in VIA.
Supports hot-swapping
The hot-swappable socket is installed on the PCB, so you can install or replace the axis without soldering. The PCB supports 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.
South-facing RGB LED lights
The south-facing RGB LED design is intended to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist's perspective and is equipped with high-quality non-translucent PBT keycaps. When users install OEM or Cherry-style replacement keycaps on the keyboard, the south-facing RGB will not be affected.
Gateron Jupiter Axis
Our unique Gateron Jupiter mechanical switches (only available for fully assembled versions) feature a 3-pin design, with pre-lubrication that meets reliable Gateron quality standards, and a key lifespan of up to 80 million presses. Its unique LED diffuser design provides high RGB backlight transmittance and a softer backlight effect. The banana switch offers an early tactile bump at the top, providing a unique smooth experience similar to the panda switch available on the market.
Screw-in PCB stabilizer
Even small components can affect the feel at your fingertips. We have integrated screw-in stabilizers installed on the PCB to provide a smoother typing experience while reducing wobble on larger keys like the spacebar, Shift, Enter, and Delete. The Keychron V2 Max also supports third-party screw-in PCB stabilizers.
